Xiaomi Poco F2 Pro Price in Nigeria
You can get the Poco F2 Pro from Xiaomi for $500 [N195,000: @ N390 / dollar] as a starting price in Nigeria right now
F2 Pro is meant to replace the F1 as the flagship bearer of the Poco brand. F2 Pro has a completely different design.
First and foremost, the F2 Pro happens to be larger. The phone measures 163.3 x 75.4 x 8.9 mm [ 6.43 x 2.97 x 0.35 in ], compared to the 155.5 x 75.3 x 8.8 mm [ 6.12 x 2.96 x 0.35 in ] of the F1.
And as you might noticed, there’s hardly any difference in the terms of thickness. But not only is the F2 Pro larger, it also happens to features a larger display.
The Poco F1 comes in both simple and fancy colours, and the same goes for the Poco F2 Pro.
But even though both phones come in simple and fancy colours, they do not come in the same set of colours.
While the F1 is available in graphite black, steel blue, rosso red, its successor is available in: neon blue, phantom white, electric purple, cyber gray.
In short, the colours of the F2 Pro are all impressive, even though they are not the same as those of the Poco F1.
When it comes to the aspect of computing hardware, I’m pretty confident the Poco F2 Pro is never a phone you’d be disappointed with.
The smart device is powered by the Qualcomm SM8250 Snapdragon 865 chipset.
And for those who don’t know, the chipset is one of Qualcomm’s best chipset.
The chipset is similar to the Qualcomm SM8250 Snapdragon 855, featuring a total of eight cores.
However, these cores can be classified into three classes, not two.
The first class of the Qualcomm SM8250 Snapdragon 865 CPU cores, is made up of one core.
And this core is rated at 2.84 GHz. This core is furthermore the fastest of all cores in the phone.
The core is also known as the main core of the phone. In short, it’s this core that would ordinarily process the computing-intensive cores of your phone.
The second class of cores featured by the Qualcomm SM8250 Snapdragon 865, are also powerful cores. These cores are three in number and rated at 2.44 GHz each.
Whenever your phone has more than one computing-intensive tasks to process, these set of three cores also get to work.
Then we have the third class of cores, which are of course four in number.
And as you might have predicted, these cores are the power-efficient cores of the phone.
In other words, when your phone is not performing computing-intensive tasks, these set of four power-efficient cores are what get to work.
You should furthermore be aware that the Qualcomm SM8250 Snapdragon 865 is a chipset having support for the 5G mobile network technology. In other words, it’s very possible the Poco F2 would come with 5G support.
However, the CPU of the Qualcomm SM8250 Snapdragon 865 is not the only impressive thing about the chipset. I also find the GPU of the phone to be quite impressive.
The graphics processing tasks of the phone are handled by the Adreno 650 GPU.
And thanks to this GPU and some other elements, the graphics of the Poco F2 Pro is significantly better than that of the Poco F1.
Lastly, with the chipset produced by a 7-nm process, be assured the chipset would deliver its incredible performance, without consuming excessive power.
Moving on to the aspect of RAM, not all builds of the phone would have the same RAM.
We are going to have some Poco F2 Pros featuring 6 GB of RAM. And we’re also going to have some builds featuring 8 GB of RAM.
6 GB of RAM should ordinarily be okay for 85 percent of smartphone users.
However, if you’re the kind who plays a lot of heavy games, or use their phone for some very computing-intensive tasks, you can consider the 8 GB RAM build.
Earlier on, I stated that the Poco F2 comes with a more impressive display, it’s time to go into more details about that.
Compared to the 6.18-inch display of the Poco F1, the Poco F2 Pro comes with a 6.67-inch display.
Hardly would you find someone who wouldn’t appreciate such a large display. But not only is the phone’s display large, the display also happens to be a state of the art display.
This display is a super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen. And with a pixel density of about 395 pixels per inch, I doubt you wouldn’t fall in love with the graphics of the phone.
Very often a large display would mean poor battery life, but with a super AMOLED display, be assured the large display of the phone wouldn’t negatively affect the battery life of the Poco F2 Pro.
As regards the brightness of the phone, the phone is rated at 500 nits. A rating of 350 nits is enough to clearly see the contents of a display, whenever you’re outdoor.
But with a rating of 500 nits, be assured you’d have zero problems using the phone in very bright sun.
Lastly, the display of the F2 Pro is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 5. In other words, not only would this glass guarantee some protection for the phone’s screen, such a glass would also add some aesthetics to the phone’s appearance.
Poco is a sub-brand of Xiaomi, although it has been made a stand-alone brand, of recent.
But pending the time a separate OS is developed for the brand, they still equip their phones with Xiaomi’s custom Android OS.
In other words, the OS powering the Poco F2 Pro is the MIUI 11 OS. This OS is a pretty impressive OS which is based on the Android 10 operating system.
As for those who have never experienced the MIUI 11, you have nothing to worry about, as the OS is pretty cool.
The OS may not allow as much customization as the stock Android allows, but I’m pretty confident you wouldn’t be disappointed.
The Poco F2 Pro may come with either 128 GB of storage or 256 GB of storage.
And since the phone has no support for micro SD card, you’d have to be sure about how much storage you need, before buying a 128 GB build.
A 128 GB build should be enough for people who majorly use their phone for social interactions and miscellaneous things.
However, if you’re the kind who relies heavily on their phone for a lot of things, then the 256 GB is what you should consider.
It’s disappointing the phone doesn’t come with support for micro SD card. But aside this, there’ hardly any other thing you’d be disappointed about.
The Poco F2 is quite impressive in the aspect of camera. The device is equipped with a total of four rear cameras.
Rear side of the phone comes with a 64 MP camera, a 5 MP camera, a 13 MP camera, and a 2 MP camera.
And as you might have predicted, the 64 MP camera is the main rear camera, while the 5 MP camera is the macro camera.
The 13 MP camera assists with wideness, while the 2 MP camera assists with depth. Thanks to the 13 MP camera, pictures with viewing angles of 123 degrees can be taken with the phone.
Furthermore, unlike many other phones, where a massive rear camera doesn’t mean support for 4K video, the rear cameras of the Poco F2 can be used to take 4K videos at up to 60 frames per seconds.
But that’s not all, these cameras can also deliver 8K videos at up to 30 frames per second.
The front camera of the phone is also a cool camera. The front camera is a 20 MP camera capable of taking mind-blowing pictures. It is, of course, an enhanced camera.
It’s capable of taking 1,080p videos. In other words, you can experience impressive video calls with the help of this phone.
The Poco F2 Pro is one of the first set of smartphones to be released after Xiaomi decided to make Poco a stand-alone brand and let me know in the comment if its price in Nigeria is worth it or not.
Xiaomi seems to be trying to make a statement with the F2 Pro.
If you like to phone, feel free to get it, as it’s unlikely to end up a disappointment.
