Here Is The Easy Money-Making Trick Everyone Is Talking About! Learn More Here!

Amid the ongoing public uproar that has greeted the decision taken by Dr. Doyin Okupe to step down from his position as the Director-General of the Labour Party Presidential Campaign Council following his conviction on charges of money laundering in court, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ayo Oyalowo has come out to share his thoughts on the development.

While speaking on NEWS CENTRAL TV’s ‘Politics HQ’ a few hours ago, Oyalowo, who is a member of the Tinubu-Shettima Presidential Campaign Council, opined that Dr. Okupe’s resignation after bagging a conviction for money laundering lends credence to warnings that his party has been issuing to Nigerians not to see the presidential candidate of the Labour Party as an angel of some sort who has come to save the country from its troubles.

He said; “Well, it is a good thing that Dr. Okupe has resigned because like he said in his letter, his travails will be a distraction. He has been convicted of charges bordering on money laundering and even if he wanted to go ahead to appeal the judgment, it would still be a distraction to whoever he is working with. So it’s a good thing that he has resigned and this is us being fair. But then, this also brings to the fore, some of the things we’ve been telling these groups of young people who have been vocal, who actually think that Nigeria is a place where one man can magically change everything because they have erroneously deified someone who was also part of the system as a former governor.

A person who was also a member of the economic team under Jonathan, a running mate to the perennial PDP candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in 2019, and maybe because he realized that he wasn’t going to make it this time around, he jumped to the Labour Party. And they suddenly think he is an angel. But we have said nobody is an angel in Nigeria’s political firmament, in fact, on the whole earth, nobody is an angel. All that we need to do is to look at the candidates, their pedigree, their antecedents, and the quality of what they are saying they can do, not come and tell us all the problems of Nigeria. Anybody can do that.”
