Atiku Abubakar, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for this year’s presidential election, is receiving increasing support ahead of the February 25th polls.
On Saturday, five out of the eighteen political parties in Nigeria declared their backing for Atiku during the PDP’s campaign rally at Mahmud Ribadu Square in Yola, Adamawa State.
The Allied Peoples Movement (APM), African Democratic Congress (ACD), National Rescue Movement (NRM), Action Alliance and Action Peoples Party are the five groups to have pledged their support.
Yusuf Dantalle, National Chairman of APM, was at hand to make this announcement and even chose to put forward Atiku’s candidacy over that of APM’s only female presidential contender Chichi Ojei.
