Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has faced criticism for his interaction with winger Alejandro Garnacho during the Europa League match against FC Twente, which ended in a 1-1 draw.

This result followed a disappointing 0-0 draw against Crystal Palace in the Premier League, adding pressure on Ten Hag as his team continues to struggle.

Former Netherlands manager Ruud Gullit highlighted Ten Hag’s interaction with Garnacho, suggesting that the Dutchman was giving the young player too many instructions, potentially overwhelming him.

Gullit remarked that Garnacho might have been thinking, “dude, leave me alone,” as too much tactical advice can hinder a player’s natural instincts.

Garnacho might have benefited from more freedom on the pitch to inject some creativity into United’s lackluster performance.

The spotlight remains on Ten Hag, as United’s inconsistent performances and failure to capitalize on their expensive signings have left fans and pundits questioning his management.

With little improvement in results, Ten Hag’s position could be in jeopardy unless he turns things around quickly.
