As Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain brace themselves for another fight over the talented French forward, Kylian Mbappé, questions arise as to what lies ahead for the 23-year-old.
The Sun have recently reported that Mbappé is interested in a move away from the Parc des Princes, days after their Champions League round of 16 first leg defeat to Bayern Munich.
Meanwhile, The Athletic have indicated that Real Madrid are involved in the transfer saga and looking to sign Mbappé as a long-term replacement for Karim Benzema.
However, they will face plenty of competition if they do manage to sign him because he can leave PSG next summer (2024) at no extra cost if he opts not to activate his optional one-year contract extension clause.
If Madrid fail to land their target, they are said to have other targets in mind such as Erling Haaland of Manchester City who may be more difficult to get due to the large sum of money Manchester City would have to receive for them to even consider it.
