The competition for ministerial appointments in President Bola Tinubu’s administration has reportedly become more intense.
According to Naija News, there are currently 27 vacant ministries left by the previous administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
Former governors and lawmakers of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) who lost in the 2023 general elections are said to be making efforts to lobby for appointments.
Some chapters of the APC have already compiled their lists for ministerial appointments, while others are still in the process of doing so.
Despite calls from various groups to not consider old governors and other categories for appointments, former governors, senators, and other influential figures in the ruling party are reportedly pushing for ministerial appointments in Tinubu’s cabinet.
