Liverpool are weighing up a possible move for PSG winger Bradley Barcola as a backup plan if the chase for Alexander Isak ends in disappointment – www.naijnaira.com reports.
While Newcastle hold firm on Isak, brushing off a €130 million offer, Liverpool appear to be scanning alternatives without wasting time. According to L’Équipe, Barcola has caught the attention of Anfield scouts more than once, and his name is now gaining traction inside the club.
Barcola made the switch from Lyon to Paris in a €50 million deal and remains under contract until 2028, giving PSG plenty of leverage in talks. However, sources suggest he’s unsure about signing a new deal, and that hesitation could give Liverpool a sliver of hope.
“If Newcastle keep the door shut on an Isak move, Liverpool could make a move for Barcola before the end of the window,” says @FabrizioRomano.
So far, there have been no official talks or offers, but it’s clear the winger is admired in Merseyside.
PSG, on their end, are keen to hold onto Barcola, with Nasser Al-Khelaifi, Luis Campos, and Luis Enrique all backing him to stay.
The French club would reportedly ask for at least €100 million to even consider letting him go.
Barcola, who is just 22, is being seen as a long-term asset, and Liverpool’s interest suggests they may pivot fast if their top priority doesn’t work out.
