Aisha Buhari, the wife of President Mohammadu Buhari, has shared a video of Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai’s bombshell statement about certain individuals in the Presidential Villa allegedly working to ensure that the All Progressives Congress (APC) do not win the upcoming elections.
In an interview on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily, El-Rufai revealed that the so-called elements are motivated by anger because their “preferred candidate” lost at the party primaries to Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
He went on to provide two examples of policies being pursued to harm the prospects of APC success at the polls: petroleum subsidies and currency redesign.
El-Rufai claims that while they both had a basis in good intentions, such policies lacked economic and political importance in this current context.
