Al-Ahli Confirms Signing of Former Chelsea Goalkeeper Edouard Mendy

Al-Ahli, a Saudi Pro League club, has officially announced the signing of Edouard Mendy, the former goalkeeper of Chelsea.

Mendy, a Senegalese international, signed his contract with the club, as shown in pictures shared on Al-Ahli’s Twitter page.

Prior to joining Al-Ahli, Mendy had a successful stint at Chelsea, where he kept 49 clean sheets in 105 games across all competitions.

He played for Chelsea for three years and was part of the team that won the Champions League in the 2020-2021 season.

Mendy was also named UEFA’s goalkeeper of the season and Best FIFA men’s keeper of the year.

He joins his compatriot Kalidou Koulibaly and French player N’Golo Kante as high-profile Chelsea players who have moved to the Saudi Pro League.

In his farewell message to Chelsea fans, Mendy expressed his gratitude to the club and its staff, as well as his teammates and the fans for their support.

He wished the club continued success in the future.
