Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State expressed his joy as members of the faction of the All Progressives Congress (APC) loyal to former governor Ibikunle Amosun made a triumphant return to the party.
Led by Derin Adebiyi, the APC faction members from all 20 local government areas of the state were welcomed back into the mainstream of the party.
Governor Abiodun likened their return to the story of the prodigal son in the Bible, emphasizing the importance of loyalty and steadfastness.
He urged all members to put the past behind them and work towards the development of the party and the state.
The State Chairman of APC, Mr. Yemi Sanusi, also emphasized the need for peaceful settlement of conflicts and urged the returnees to fully integrate themselves with other party members.
Derin Adebiyi, the leader of the group of returnees, expressed gratitude to the governor and party members for their warm reception and stated their commitment to contribute to the development of the party and the state.
