APC Crisis Deepens as Principal Officer Ignores Tinubu

The All Progressives Congress (APC) is currently facing an internal crisis over the selection of principal officers, with reports suggesting that a high-ranking individual with close ties to the president-elect is behind the contentious decision.

The president-elect had initially favored appointing a female candidate from the South-East as Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, in line with the party’s Affirmative Action for women.

However, the influential officer convinced the president-elect to choose a male candidate from Abia State instead, arguing that his legal background made him superior.
