The All Progressives Congress (APC) has declared that there is no presidential vacancy until 2031, firmly backing Bola Tinubu’s continued leadership, NaijNaira can report.
Speaking in Ibadan, APC National Secretary Ajibola Bashiru dismissed the African Democratic Congress (ADC) coalition as a “mushroom party” lacking real political weight, according to Peoples Gazette.
He stated, “It’s a lie from the pit of hell to claim the North is ganging up against Tinubu,” insisting northern leaders in states like Sokoto, Kebbi, and Zamfara fully support Tinubu’s 2027 bid.
Bashiru said northern cities have openly celebrated Tinubu, with Katsina, Kano, and Gombe showing street-level excitement.
He pointed to APC’s 75% election win rate as proof of strong public backing.
He brushed off concerns about internal rifts, noting that Ganduje’s exit hasn’t shaken the party.
According to him, “Those voting for our party are Nigerians, not Togolese, Cameroonians or foreigners.”
