The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has argued that, despite the obstacles it has faced in campaigning in Rivers State, it is still determined to do so skillfully and safely.
Daniel Bwala, spokesperson for the Atiku/Okowa Campaign Organisation, recently told Arise Television’s The Morning Show that Governor Nyesom Wike is a “bloody civilian” who has an “incapacitated” grasp on the history of the party and its members.
He further cited examples of when PDP had rallies in Enugu and Lagos – both APC states – without issue before claiming that Mr Wike’s efforts threatened their ability to hold a rally without any loss of life.
In conclusion, Bwala emphasised that while PDP must hold its ground, they are also looking out for safety amid Mr Wike’s actions.
