Phrank Shaibu, the Special Assistant on Public Communications to former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, strongly criticized President Bola Tinubu’s nationwide broadcast, calling it deceptive and uninspiring.
Shaibu argued that Tinubu should apologize to Nigerians for removing fuel subsidy without a clear plan to alleviate the suffering of the people.
He also accused the president of being clueless in his mode of governance and blamed him for not taking action against subsidy thieves.
Shaibu further criticized Tinubu’s promises, stating that the minimum wage should have been discussed before subsidy removal and that his plans for small businesses would be undermined by inflation, exchange rate problems, and corruption.
He concluded that Tinubu’s speech was a complete waste of time and that it was a deceptive attempt to dissuade the suffering masses and organized labor from protesting.
