On June 23, 2019, Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), presented key pieces of evidence against President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Presidential Election Petition Court in Abuja.

The evidence included documents that showed that the Tinubu who attended Chicago State University was born in 1954, not 1952 as claimed by President Tinubu.

Additionally, the evidence showed that the Tinubu who attended Chicago State University is an American citizen, while the APC candidate claimed to be a Nigerian citizen only.

Other evidence presented by Atiku’s lawyer, Chief Chris Uche, included APC Party Membership Card in the name of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Certificate of Service from Mobil Oil, NYSC Certificate of Exemption belonging to one Tinubu Bola Adekunle upon graduation in 1979, and a Certificate from Chicago State University.

Atiku’s witness, Mike Enahoro-Ebah, also presented evidence including an Original Letter issued by the Chicago State University, an Undergraduate Form filled at the time of entrance into the Chicago State University showing a different name other than Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and a Guinean international passport in the name of Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
