Oritsejafor is the founder and Senior Pastor of Word of Life Bible Church located in Warri, Nigeria. In 2005 he was elected to become the national president of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN).

He went on to serve as President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) from 2010-2015, becoming the first Pentecostal leader to hold that position.

Ayo Oritsejafor was born to Mr. Joseph Monday Oritsejafor and Mrs. Roli Durojaiye Oritsejafor in Lagos, Nigeria on November 10.

His mother is a member of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC). In 1972, he became “born again” at an evangelical crusade in Sapele, Nigeria that marked the start of his journey for spiritual knowledge.

He went on to enroll at the All Nations For Christ Bible Institute and later the Nigerian Baptist Seminary in Ogbomosho, Nigeria.

In 1979, he traveled to the United States to study theology further at Morris Cerullo’s School of Ministry (El Cortez), San Diego, California.

It was here that Ayo experienced a vision where he heard voices encouraging him to take God’s word to the world; this spark ignited his founding of Word of Life Bible Church (WLBC) in November 1987 and brought forth his television program Hour of Deliverance two years prior.

Ayo attributes his accomplishments in life and success in ministry as works of guidance from mentors such as Archbishop Benson Idahosa, Dr. Morris Cerullo, Robert W. Schamback, and Evangelist Tommy L. Osborn among others.

Furthermore, Ayo has been instrumental in bringing crisis in Niger Delta area of Nigeria to an end by leading by example and demonstrating leadership qualities.
