Barcelona have surprisingly made a late push to sign Sofyan Amrabat from Fiorentina.
Reports indicate that the Blaugrana are offering a loan deal with an option to buy for €40 million, including €3 million for this season alone.
However, Fabrizio Romano has reported that Fiorentina aren’t interested in accepting that offer.
The move is sure to come as a surprise given Barcelona’s financial situation, and also the competition already present in their squad.
Amrabat’s success at the World Cup has not gone unnoticed and he has boycotted training in order to force through his desired move.
Despite the player’s desire for the transfer, it is difficult to envisage where he would fit into Barcelona’s starting line up with Gavi, Pedri, Sergio Busquets, Frenkie de Jong and Franck Kessie all providing stiff competition.
