Sadio Mané, a former Liverpool forward, has been suspended by Bayern Munich for punching Leroy Sané in the face during a dressing room argument after the team’s 3-0 defeat at Manchester City on Tuesday.
The 31-year-old will not be included in the squad for Saturday’s match against Hoffenheim and will be fined for his “misconduct”.
The altercation between Mané and Sané began during the game and continued off the pitch.
Although the details of the incident were not disclosed, the two players participated in training together on Thursday.
The suspension clears Mané to play in the return match against City next Wednesday.
Despite missing a significant portion of the season due to injury, the Senegal international has scored 11 goals in 32 appearances for Bayern.
