For the second year in a row, Manchester City will face Real Madrid in the semi-finals of the Champions League.

This comes after a 1-1 draw against Bayern Munich, secured by a goal from Erling Haaland, which gave City a 4-1 aggregate win in the quarter-finals.

Despite missing a penalty in the first half, Haaland managed to score his 48th goal in 41 appearances this season, lashing past Bayern goalkeeper Yann Sommer.

Although Bayern scored a late penalty through Joshua Kimmich, they were unable to make possession and chances count. City will now face Real Madrid, who beat them in the semi-finals last season.

Bayern, who sacked their previous coach Julian Nagelsmann in favour of Thomas Tuchel earlier this month, have been eliminated from Europe and the German Cup.

The winner of the City-Real tie will face either AC Milan or Inter Milan in the final in Istanbul on June 10.
