Brig. General Y.D. Ahmed appointed new NYSC DG
Mrs Christy Uba had been Acting Director-General since then and handed over to the new DG at the ceremony.
President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Brigadier General Y.D Ahmed as the new Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
Starting on Monday, January 30,2023, according to an announcement from NYSC headquarters, Ahmed will replace Ms Christy Uba who served in an acting capacity after the removal of Brigadier General Mohammed Fadah.
During her three months as acting DG, Ms Uba had promised to improve and restore the visibility of the organization.
With General Ahmed’s appointment these goals can now be pursued and hopefully achieved.
