According to political analyst Reno Omokri, President Muhammadu Buhari and Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s support for President-elect Bola Tinubu is not based on love, but rather fear.
Omokri claims that Tinubu uses fear to control his followers, and that Sanwo-Olu and others are afraid of facing the same fate as former Lagos Governor Akinwunmi Ambode if they rebel against Tinubu.
Omokri suggests that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) should team up with the Labour Party (LP) to limit Tinubu’s influence by taking control of the National Assembly.
He believes that a united opposition will embolden the judiciary to stand up to Tinubu and make them the true last hope of the Nigerian people.
Omokri also notes that Tinubu has vulnerabilities and an Achilles heel, and that his sword of Damocles is the fear he uses to control his kingdom.
