Former President Muhammadu Buhari has shut down claims of a silent feud with President Bola Tinubu, insisting there’s no formal disagreement between them, NaijNaira can report.
In an interview with Trust TV, Buhari’s spokesperson, Garba Shehu, dismissed the speculations, calling them baseless and driven by public misinterpretation.
“I don’t think in a formal and official sense anybody would talk about distrust or mistrust between the Buhari administration and the Tinubu administration,” Shehu said.
Shehu added that Buhari remains firmly loyal to the APC, the party that helped him secure the presidency in 2015 after multiple attempts.
“For Muhammadu Buhari, he is essentially an APC man. He has said it several times, ‘I will never be ungrateful. I will never betray the party that gave me two terms in office,’” he said.
He also emphasized that Buhari’s camp isn’t rattled by media noise, pointing to the sacrifices made to form the APC back in 2014.
