Dr. Giadom Dumbari, the Project Coordinator of the Hydrocarbon Pollution Remediation Project, has been terminated from his position by President Muhammadu Buhari.
The announcement was made on the official Twitter handle of the Nigerian Presidency, which also revealed that Prof. Nanibarini Zabbey has been appointed as the new Project Coordinator.
Dr. Giadom was appointed by the President in March of last year for a four-year tenure, but he leaves his position after only 14 months.
The Federal Ministry of Environment released a statement confirming the change in leadership and highlighting Prof. Zabbey’s extensive experience in remediation-related activities, particularly in bio-monitoring and restoration ecology.
