Céline Dion is known for her incredible voice but the singer will soon be appearing on the big screen in an upcoming romantic comedy as she makes her acting debut.
Taking on the acting role, Céline will star as herself alongside Outlander actor Sam Heughan and Quantico star Priyanka Chopra.
The film is called Love Again, having had a title change a number of times, and some teaser photos of the cast have now been shared.
Photos of Céline, Sam and Priyanka were shared on the singer’s Instagram account with the caption: ‘See you at the movies! Celine is starring alongside @priyankachopra and @samheughan and releasing new music🎶 for the romantic comedy LOVE AGAIN (new title!) coming to movie theaters MAY 12 (new date!). – Team Celine’.
According to Variety, the film will also feature some of Céline’s songs, including a newly recorded song, and as well as acting in the movie, she is also one of the executive producers.
Sam spoke about working with Céline in an interview with ET Canada and commented: “She’s such an icon, isn’t she?”
Speaking about working on the film he added: “For me, it was such a fun little movie. It’s a really nice romantic comedy and Priyanka Chopra is such a classy lady. I really enjoyed working with her. She’s fantastic.”
The film is about a woman who is mourning the death of her fiancé and continues sending texts to his phone number and sees Céline in a mentor role.
The new film has been in the works since 2020, but won’t be coming out until 12th May 2023 having been pushed back from a previously planned February release.
