Chelsea’s new owners, Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital, are planning a squad clearout as part of an effort to end player power and balance better wages at Stamford Bridge.

If results do not improve soon, they could begin by selling off some of their underperforming stars and sign Joao Felix on a permanent basis if he continues to perform.

They could also bring in Borussia Monchengladbach striker Marcus Thuram and PSV Eindhoven winger Noni Madueke.

Additionally, they may have to consider loan and sale opportunities for stars such as Hakim Ziyech, Christian Pulisic, Kai Havertz and captain Cesar Azpilicueta, should the price be right.

Kalidou Koulibaly is also a possibility for transfer, while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will be allowed to move abroad if he wishes so.

Lastly, Chelsea hope to create a balanced wage bill by getting all first-team players onto similar basic pay with added incentives for personal success.

Benfica’s Enzo Fernandez & Brighton’s Moises Caicedo remain targets for the Blues despite no second bid being made yet.
