Thomas Tuchel has admitted his love for Tottenham amid rumours of Antonio Conte’s exit from the club.
Spurs’ defeat to Arsenal in the north London derby has sparked doubt among club higher-ups as to whether Conte is fit to remain at Tottenham, with his contract set to expire at the end of the season.
Similarly to Mourinho, there is an ‘understanding between both parties’ that extending Conte’s stay would not be beneficial if they do not share similar visions.
While speculation over Conte’s future mounts, Tuchel was recently linked with a move into Spurs and he revealed in 2016 that he used to have a childhood team named after Tottenham Hotspur due to how much he liked the name!
The German claimed he had no idea that they played in London but still felt fondly towards the club when Borussia Dortmund knocked them out of the Europa League.
Though it remains unclear whether Tuchel will officially replace Conte at Tottenham, its certain that Chelsea & Spurs fans alike are eagerly awaiting what will become of Thomas Tuchel and Jose Mourinho’s experiences in west London impacting on his decision.
