Borussia Dortmund secured a 3-0 victory at Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League on Wednesday, with goals from Jamie Gittens, Ramy Bensebaini, and Serhou Guirassy.

Gittens opened the scoring in the 41st minute with a stunning solo effort from outside the box, his fourth goal in five Champions League appearances this season.

Early in the second half, Bensebaini doubled Dortmund’s lead with a header from a Pascal Gross corner. Guirassy, returning from illness, added a third late in the match to seal the win.

The result marked Dortmund’s first away victory in any competition since September and moved them into the top four in their group, all but securing a spot in the knockout rounds.

While the team celebrated this well-deserved victory, the focus now shifts to their upcoming clash against Bayern Munich.

Coach Nuri Sahin expressed concern regarding Julian Brandt’s fitness after he sustained a thigh injury during the match.

“Brandt is extremely important for our game,” Sahin stated, hoping for a swift recovery.

Dortmund’s goalkeeper, Gregor Kobel, encapsulated the team’s spirits, stating, “If we give everything, we can try and get the maximum out of it”.
