El-Rufai’s Spokesman Speaks on the Exit of Ex-Kaduna Governor from APC

Here Is The Easy Money-Making Trick Everyone Is Talking About! Learn More Here!

A former governor of Kaduna state, Nasir El-Rufai, has denied rumors of his intention to leave the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). Speculations arose after El-Rufai met with the National Chairman of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Shehu Musa Gabam. However, Muyiwa Adekeye, the spokesperson for El-Rufai, clarified that his principal has no plans to defect from the APC.

In a statement, Adekeye addressed the recent speculations, stating, “I consider the most recent speculations about Malam Nasir El-Rufai as reflecting an unhealthy obsession with politics. People have personal histories and relationships that predate political affiliations.”

Adekeye emphasized that it is not uncommon for individuals to have friendships that transcend political boundaries. El-Rufai’s role as a senior member of the APC and his significant contributions to the party’s success do not require him to distance himself from friends based on their political affiliations.

He further highlighted that El-Rufai recently hosted friends, including the SDP National Chairman Shehu Musa Gabam, for an iftar gathering. The visit was simply a friendly gesture and not an indication of any political decision.

Adekeye concluded, “Malam El-Rufai is known for being open and forthright. If he had any political decisions to make, it would not be in character to let them be subject to speculation.”
