Elon Musk has announced that Linda Yaccarino, former head of advertising at NBCUniversal, will be taking over as the new CEO of Twitter.
Musk stated that Yaccarino will primarily focus on business operations while he focuses on product design and new technology.
Yaccarino is known for taking NBCUniversal’s ad sales operation into the digital era.
Musk took over Twitter in October after completing his $44 billion purchase and has since removed several top executives and laid off many employees in an effort to stabilize the organization financially.
