The ex-girlfriend of footballer Dele Alli has spoken out about the harrowing experience of a robbery that took place at his London home in May 2020. Ruby Mae, a model, revealed that she feared for her life during the incident, which saw armed robbers raid their residence in Hadley Wood, north-east London.
Mae, who was watching a Netflix thriller while Alli played pool with friends downstairs, described the moment two masked men appeared and attempted to steal jewelry from her. She tried to protect their dog, Uno, as the robbers roughed up Alli and forced him upstairs into the wardrobe area.
Recalling the terrifying ordeal, Mae said, “I honestly didn’t know what was going to come next. It felt like something out of a movie.” She explained that the robbers asked her where everything was while trying to remove her bracelets and rings, leaving her in a state of shock.
The incident had a profound psychological impact on Mae and everyone involved. She admitted that being home alone now feels scarier than before, and the memory of the robbery still haunts her. Despite the traumatic experience, no arrests have been made in connection with the incident.
Mae and Alli ended their relationship in 2021 after meeting at a London bar in 2016.
