President Bola Tinubu has recently made an important announcement regarding the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM).
In a statement released on Friday evening, the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngalale, confirmed the appointment of several highly qualified individuals to the NAICOM board.
Ms. Halima Kyari has been appointed as the Chairperson of the board. With her vast experience and expertise in the insurance industry, Ms. Kyari is well-suited to lead the commission and ensure its effective functioning. Mr. Olusegun Ayo Omosehin has been appointed as the Commissioner for Insurance.
His extensive knowledge and understanding of the insurance sector will be invaluable in shaping the commission’s policies and regulations.
Joining them are Mr. Olawoye Gam-Ikon, appointed as the Deputy Commissioner for Technical Operations, and Dr. Usman Ankara Jimada, appointed as the Deputy Commissioner for Finance.
Both individuals bring a wealth of experience and expertise to their respective roles, which will contribute to the overall success of the commission.
President Tinubu’s appointments also include nine other highly qualified Nigerians who will serve on the NAICOM board.
