Factionalism Erupts in South-west APC Over Tinubu's Appointments

Here Is The Easy Money-Making Trick Everyone Is Talking About! Learn More Here!

The South-west All Progressives Congress (APC) Support Groups are expressing their dissatisfaction with the appointments made by President Bola Tinubu, claiming that they are being filled with individuals they refer to as ‘Lagos boys’.

In a joint statement, the groups expressed concern that if this trend continues, it may lead to factionalism within the South-west region under Tinubu’s leadership.

They argue that it is unacceptable for politicians from Lagos State to be the primary beneficiaries of appointments in the entire South-west, emphasizing that Lagos is not the only state in the region.

The support groups highlight that a significant number of the appointments made so far are individuals based in Lagos, even though they may not all be indigenes of the state.

They urge President Tinubu to address this issue and ensure that his administration reflects national inclusion and diversity.

Additionally, they criticize the appointment of the Chief of Staff as the chairman of a committee responsible for constituting boards of Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs), arguing that the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) should hold this position instead.

The support groups advocate for the reversal of this appointment and the inclusion of a representative from the APC as the secretary of the committee to avoid a dominance of ‘Lagos Boys’ in the administration.

They emphasize the importance of fairness and meritocracy in appointments to avoid repeating the mistakes of previous administrations.
