Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom has stated that he will not switch to the All Progressives Congress (APC) after his tenure ends.

However, he has pledged to support and assist President-elect Bola Tinubu as a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Ortom emphasized his commitment to promoting fairness and justice in Nigeria, including supporting a Southern presidency.

He confirmed that he remains the leader of PDP in Benue State and will continue to work towards equity and justice in the country.

Ortom was part of the ‘G-5’ group of PDP governors who reportedly worked against the presidential aspirations of former vice president Atiku Abubakar in the February 25th election, and it has been speculated that he supported former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi in that election.
