The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, the apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation, has refuted claims that it will participate in the inauguration of President-elect Bola Tinubu on May 29, 2023.
The statement was made in response to claims by Okechukwu Isiguzoro that Ohanaeze would participate fully in the inauguration and that the Ime-Obi Ohanaeze Ndigbo had mandated an end to all agitation for the 2023 election.
The National Publicity Secretary of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Dr. Alex Chiedozie Ogbonnia, clarified that Isiguzoro was a meddlesome interloper who used the name of Ohanaeze Ndigbo for narrow interests.
Ogbonnia further stated that the organisation had previously warned the public to ignore such impostors and media navigators who used the name of Ohanaeze Ndigbo for their own gain.
