Ahead of the Euro 2024 semi-final in Dortmund, clashes between English and Dutch football fans resulted in minor injuries to five England supporters.

The UK Football Policing Unit (UKFPU) reported incidents where Dutch fans attacked English supporters in bars, attempting to steal flags.

The UKFPU acknowledged the presence of known troublemakers among the Dutch fans and emphasized the need for caution.

In response to the disturbances, UKFPU officers were deployed alongside German police to manage the situation.

Videos shared on social media depicted Dutch fans in orange attire causing disruptions, including throwing furniture outside bars frequented by English supporters.

This semi-final marks the first time during the tournament that English fans are expected to be significantly outnumbered, with an estimated 80,000 Dutch fans present in Dortmund.

Authorities advised fans to remain vigilant, stay aware of their surroundings, and seek areas where German police were present to ensure their safety.
