Immediate past Adamawa Governor Senator Jibrilla Bindow has officially left the All Progressives Congress (APC) for another political party.
After rumours of his exit from APC following his loss in the 2019 parallel governorship primary circulated, he provided confirmation on Wednesday.
He penned and released a letter to the APC chairman at his Kolere Ward in Mubi North LGA, formally announcing his resignation and citing unresolved internal crisis as the reason behind his departure.
The tumultuous events of the 2019 election and the 2022 Governorship primary combined to spur him into action.
It is believed that many notable members who lost the ticket to Bindow actively campaigned against him and thus contributed to his electoral downfall.
As for where Senator JibrilBindow will be heading next, most eyes point towards People’s Democratic Party (PDP) given how harshly he spoke about APC’s lack of genuine reconciliation and dissatisfaction with current happenings within their ranks.
