Sergio Ramos, the former Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain defender, is making a return to his childhood club Sevilla as a free agent.
After his contract with PSG expired, Ramos was in advanced talks with Sevilla, and he ultimately chose to join the LaLiga side.
Despite interest from other clubs such as Al Ittihad, Galatasaray, FC Porto, and MLS, Ramos preferred to stay closer to home.
Sevilla expressed their excitement about Ramos’ return, highlighting that he started his football journey at their youth academy at the age of seven.
After leaving Sevilla at 19 to join Real Madrid, Ramos now comes back almost two decades later.
During his time at Real Madrid, Ramos achieved great success, winning four Champions League titles and five LaLiga trophies.
He also had a successful international career, winning the World Cup in 2010 and two European Championships before retiring from international play in February.
