Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has taken legal action against President Bola Tinubu in the United States, alleging that Tinubu’s academic records are fraudulent.
The lawsuit, filed in the District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, aims to compel Tinubu to provide his academic records from primary school to university.
Atiku’s spokesperson, Phrank Shaibu, stated that this lawsuit is just the beginning of Atiku’s challenge to Tinubu’s presidency.
Shaibu also questioned why Tinubu has not invited any of his classmates to the Presidential Villa, highlighting the importance of educational history for public officials.
Atiku, who is the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), is also contesting the outcome of the 2023 elections at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal.
