Liverpool have completed their first signing of the winter transfer window, bringing in PSV Eindhoven forward Cody Gakpo.

Now attention turns to the midfield, with a number of potential signings being linked to the Reds.

Liverpool will be looking to make improvements to their midfield ahead of next season and several names have already been floated as possible recruits.

With this in mind, NaijNaira.com has selected four possible signings that Klopp section may look into making during the January transfer window.

Moisés Caicedo

Moisés Caicedo has reportedly been on Liverpool’s radar for a move to the club. If this is true, it could provide the team with some desperately needed muscle in their midfield following the departure of Gini Wijnaldum.

The 20-year-old midfielder from Brighton already has connections to Liverpool and was linked with a possible transfer last summer (via 90Min).

Elif Elmas

Elif Elmas has been playing a rotational role with Italian side Napoli this season, filling in for Georgian Khvicha Kvaratskhelia when he needs a rest.

Reports have recently suggested that Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp has taken matters into his own hands by personally calling the player to attempt to persuade him to join the club, due to his limited game time in Serie A.

Sofyan Amrabat

Sofyan Amrabat, a Moroccan international, has been a sought-after player for some time now. He particularly shone at the Qatar World Cup, helping the national team reach the knockout stages.

However, since joining Fiorentina he has failed to establish himself as a regular starter with the club. Liverpool are reported to be interested in signing Amrabat as their low-cost option ahead of other potential signings.

Jude Bellingham

The soccer world is abuzz with the unprecedented ability of Jude Bellingham, and Liverpool FC is at the center of a potential transfer. As Bellingham shined in the World Cup in Qatar, the size of his talent became known to everyone.

Though there have been reports (via The Athletic) that he will be transferred to Liverpool soon, it’s basic common sense that a move wouldn’t take place in January but sometime in the summer.
