Former Chelsea defender Glen Johnson has suggested that Chelsea should try to disrupt Manchester City’s potential deal to sign Brighton’s Evan Ferguson in the upcoming transfer windows.

As a result, many clubs are interested in signing him, with recent reports suggesting a valuation of over £120 million.
Manchester City has been linked with the idea of pairing Ferguson with star striker Erling Haaland, which could make them a formidable attacking force.
However, Johnson believes that Chelsea and Liverpool should also make a move for Ferguson, as he would have a better chance of breaking into their teams compared to Manchester City’s.
Johnson believes that young goal-scorers in the Premier League are rare and understands why top clubs would be interested in Ferguson.
The addition of Ferguson could potentially solve Chelsea’s goal-scoring issues, but it would come at a significant cost.
