Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, has cautioned Erling Haaland about giving up penalty duties in the future.
The Premier League champions defeated Leeds 2-1 on Saturday, taking a four-point lead over Arsenal at the top.
City were awarded a penalty after Ilkay Gundogan scored a brace to make it 2-0.
Haaland gave up the opportunity to score and instead helped Gundogan complete his hat-trick.
However, the German missed the penalty, hitting the woodwork.
A minute later, the visitors scored a goal, making the final moments uncomfortable for City.
Guardiola stated that “a taker is a taker” and that Haaland, who is currently the best penalty taker, should have taken the penalty at 2-0.
Guardiola added that it is a business, not a situation where they can forget about it.
