Halle Bailey, the actress and singer known for her role in The Little Mermaid, has reportedly been granted temporary sole physical and legal custody of her 16-month-old son.
This comes alongside a temporary restraining order against her ex, rapper DDG (Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr.), following accusations of domestic abuse.
According to court documents obtained by Page Six, Bailey sought sole custody without informing DDG, fearing that “the violence would reoccur” and that he might take their child out of the area.
In addition, the actress filed for a temporary restraining order, which requires DDG to stay at least 100 yards away from Bailey and their son, including her home and vehicle. He is also prohibited from any personal contact with her.
The restraining order remains in effect until the next court hearing, scheduled for June 4. DDG is not allowed visitation with their son, Halo, unless otherwise determined by the court.
Bailey included photographic evidence of abuse with her request, showing a chipped front tooth and a large bruise on her bicep. The situation comes just over six months after the couple announced their split.
