Fabrizio Romano, via Caught Offside, has reported that La Liga giants Barcelona’s Hector Bellerin is wanted back at his former club Real Betis.
The Catalans, however, have yet to give the green light for a move.
Last season as a loanee at Real Betis from Arsenal, he had a successful campaign and even helped the side to win the Copa del Rey.
Although Betis were keen to sign him in the summer transfer window last year, they were unable to make it happen and they were subsequently beaten by Barcelona on the deadline day of signings.
Since then, Bellerin has made minimal contributions with only seven appearances across all competitions while Xavi Hernandez opts for Jules Kounde, Ronald Araujo or Sergi Roberto or Alejandro Balde over him in right-back positions.
Reports suggest that Premier League clubs like Fulham and Everton are eyeing Boateng as a potential recruit as well; but amidst all this adversity, only if Barca give a ‘green light’ can Bellerin hope for his desired return to Real Betis.
