Model Carol Alt, who worked with Hogan on Thunder in Paradise, reacted with grief, writing, “I cannot believe my co-star and friend passed away… He felt immortal to me.”

Wrestling veterans including Ric Flair, Kane, Kurt Angle, and Undertaker shared tributes, with Flair calling Hogan an “incredible athlete, talent, friend, and father.”

Flair also revealed Hogan supported him during his near-death hospital stay and helped financially when his son was ill, saying, “No one will ever compare to you.”

Charlotte Flair recalled how Hogan stood by their family eight years ago, posting, “My heart breaks for Nick and Brooke. Rest in peace, brother.”

The WWE confirmed Hogan’s death and praised his role in taking wrestling mainstream during the 1980s, calling him “one of pop culture’s most recognizable figures.”

Politicians reacted as well, including Donald Trump, who called Hogan “strong, tough, smart, but with the biggest heart” and shared memories from the 2024 Republican Convention.

Vice President JD Vance remembered Hogan as a “great American icon,” and Donald Trump Jr. shared a photo of Hogan from the same political event.

According to Clearwater police, medics responded to a 911 call involving cardiac arrest at Hogan’s Florida home just before 10 a.m., where he was later pronounced dead.

The wrestler’s wife, Sky Daily, recently denied claims Hogan was gravely ill, stating he was recovering well from a neck procedure and that his heart was strong.

Hogan’s representative Linda Bose confirmed his death to CBS News and described him as “a great human being and friend” who left behind an unforgettable legacy.

A message on his official Instagram read: “It is with a heavy heart and deep sadness that we confirm we have lost a legend… He will be missed, but never forgotten.”
