Former governor of Delta State, James Ibori, has been rumored to be considering a defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC) after reportedly working for the party in the last general elections.
This speculation gained more traction as Ibori was seen meeting with President Bola Tinubu, former governor of Lagos State, along with former governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, and Oyo State governor, Seyi Makinde, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
While Wike and Makinde are members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ibori’s political affiliation is currently uncertain after losing control of the PDP in Delta State.
The meeting between the politicians has sparked further speculation about Ibori’s potential defection to the APC.
