Stanley Nwabali may be on the verge of a high-profile move to Raja Casablanca, and former Super Eagles goalkeeper Ike Shorunmu believes the final call is his to make, NaijNaira can report.
In an interview quoted by Footy Africa, Shorunmu said, “Ultimately, it is up to Stanley to decide what he wants from his life and his football career.”
The former Beşiktaş and FC Zurich shot-stopper praised Nwabali, calling him a “fantastic goalkeeper with the quality to succeed anywhere.”
Raja Casablanca, winners of the CAF Champions League three times, are reportedly keen to sign the 29-year-old from Chippa United.
Nwabali gained global attention after a standout display for Nigeria at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
He helped lead the Super Eagles to the final, earning interest from clubs like QPR and Al Ettifaq along the way.
Now, Raja Casablanca sees him as a potential pillar in their squad rebuild.
With a €650,000 market valuation, Chippa United appear open to discussions if the price is right.
Shorunmu added, “The club clearly believes in him, and it is now up to Stanley to prove himself again.”
Nwabali hasn’t commented yet, but game time will likely guide his final decision.
