John Cleese’s 'Fawlty Towers' Is Coming Back After 40 Years

Here Is The Easy Money-Making Trick Everyone Is Talking About! Learn More Here!

It has been 40 years since the iconic comedic TV show Fawlty Towers hit our screens and now it is back.

John Cleese, now 83, is reprising his beloved character Basil FAwty with Camilla playing the role of his daughter.

It was revealed this week by Castle Rock Entertainment that Brits should expect to see their beloved characters return to Fawlty Towers soon.

John came up with the idea for Fawlty Towers during a visit to The Gleneagles in Torquay, Devon in 1973 where he experienced firsthand the rudeness of owner Donald Sinclair.

Donald inspired many of Basil’s famous antics such as insulting Terry Gilliam’s dining style and throwing Eric Idle’s bag out of a window over concerns of a possible bomb.

Sadly, The Gleneagles was demolished in 2016 and replaced with retirement flats.

For those wishing to experience holidaying at a Fawlty Towers-style hotel, The Somerville bed & breakfast run by Peter Bland with his wife Helen may be worth looking into.

Peter enjoys joke comparisons to Basil noting his being “anti-woke” and being “bit of a character”.
