Arsenal have apparently reached an agreement with Chelsea over the potential signing of midfielder Jorginho.
After long-standing rumours of Mikel Arteta wanting to strengthen in central midfield, particularly with Mohamed Elneny’s injury issues, the Gunners have made a shock bid for Jorginho.
Reports say that terms between Arsenal and the 31-year-old have been agreed upon, and now Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Chelsea have accepted a £12m offer from the Emirates club.
It has also been reported that Jorginho is due to sign a deal at Arsenal until 2024 with a 12-month extension option.
The transfer will be finalized once Jorginho passes his medicals later today, before the 11PM deadline.
With his move away, this could also mean Conor Gallagher staying with Graham Potter’s squad instead of searching greener pastures elsewhere in the Premier League.
