Jurgen Klopp has countered the calls for a Liverpool rebuild in the aftermath of their 3-0 loss to Brighton.
The Reds have registered six defeats in the Premier League so far this season, leading to claims manager Klopp needs an overhaul of his squad.
However, Klopp insists he does not have enough options at his disposal currently, particularly in midfield, and that it’s down to him and the current players to potentially silence such talk with better performance going forward.
When asked if it is time for an extensive rebuild, Klopp said: “It’s our fault you can ask that sort of question and I understand but it’s not like that…We are slightly limited but it’s our job to make sure you can’t ask these questions anymore.”
The Merseyside club will take on Wolves in their next FA Cup game on Tuesday before hosting Chelsea for a Premier League match on Saturday lunchtime.
