Lagos State House of Assembly re-elects Mudashiru Obasa as Speaker

Mudashiru Obasa, a member of the All Progressives Congress representing Agege I, has been re-elected as the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly for the third consecutive time.

The unanimous decision was made by the 39 lawmakers in the Lagos State House of Assembly, following a proclamation of the Lagos 10th Assembly by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, his deputy, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, and other top government officials at the chamber of the House.

Mojisola Meranda was also elected as the Deputy Speaker of the 10th Assembly, while other members were elected to various positions such as Majority Leader, Deputy Majority Leader, Chief Whip, and Deputy Chief Whip.
